Description
The Trinity River Audubon Center, situated in the Great Trinity Forest, features around four miles of trails through varied ecosystems like wetlands and bird habitats, offering views of the Trinity River. Opened in 2008, it serves as an educational hub for local flora and fauna, providing a peaceful setting for short hikes and wildlife observation near Dallas. Once an illegal dump, the site is now a vibrant nature preserve with a pollinator garden, a small museum, and a gift shop. Entry is free, but reservations are recommended due to limited capacity.
