Description
After a period of closure, Hercules, one of Helsinki's classic gay clubs, has made a strong comeback with a new central location in the Brutalist "sausage house" across from the main station. Despite its long history, recent user reviews have been less than favorable, with complaints about rude staff, high cover charges, and a lack of cleanliness. Some patrons have also expressed disappointment with the lack of a welcoming and safe atmosphere, as well as the club's proximity to straight establishments. While the club still offers no-frills hits and ever-flowing beer, it seems that the overall experience may not live up to expectations. As Helsinki's LGBTIQ+ scene continues to evolve, it's clear that Hercules has some work to do in order to reclaim its status as a top nightlife destination for the community. Sources like MyHelsinki have also recommended Hercules.
