Description
Barcelona Cathedral is a magnificent gothic masterpiece located in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. The captivating architecture is best appreciated in person, especially at night when it is well lit and quite remarkable. Adjacent to the cathedral is a small market selling vintage goods during the day. The interior of the cathedral is breathtaking and mesmerizing, and the view of the city from the rooftop is beautiful. It is within walking distance to other tourist locations and is a must-visit when in Barcelona. However, be prepared to queue for the tower lift, which takes up to 8 people at a time. The evening time is the best to visit, and it is recommended to give yourself enough time to soak in the beauty of the cathedral and stay up on the tower. The Missa del Gall during Christmas is a joyous event to partake in with the bishop and people of Barcelona. While the professional choir did an excellent job, it was disappointing that almost nobody was singing. The cathedral also offers a cultural tour for a fee, but it is not necessary to appreciate the beauty of this architectural design. Overall, the Barcelona Cathedral is a strongly recommended destination for tourists visiting the charming city. Sources like Hand Luggage Only have also recommended Barcelona Cathedral.
