HistoryMiami Museum, located in the government center downtown, offers a well-curated exploration of Miami's history. The museum spans two buildings connected by a large courtyard, which also houses the main public library. The modern decor and organized layout enhance the visitor experience. Exhibits include interactive learning stations for children, a dominos table, a mini theatre with a short film on Miami's history, a full-sized trolley car, a Cuban refugee raft, and American Indian artifacts. The museum also hosts history lectures by a resident historian, available for an additional fee. The second Saturday of each month features free admission and additional activities.
