It is not the best diner in town but it's a godsend for us night owls on the lower east side. I was sustained for two months by having a meal at 3am every day 10 years ago. Don't get me wrong - it's great, just that there are a few places with even more delicious food, and better lighting. I would never hesitate to go here.

Classic diner experience in the middle of the LES. I can never get over how reasonably priced Remedy is considering it could easily double the prices on every dish and still have rich NYU kids lining up to eat there. Good menu, good vibes. I will eat here many more times.

Update: I ended up in the hospital because of this.

AVOID. RACIST STAFF and UNSAFE FOOD. Ate there recently and it's the last time. Food immediately made me very sick, nauseous and dizzy, fever.

Used to like this place until they got a very mean waitress who is rude and racially profiles guests. Our party was speaking another language and as soon as she heard it she gave us awful service and tried to rush us out. Today we gave it a second shot several months later and the minute we walked in she was hostile. We are quiet people, always tip at least 15%, we did nothing to deserve this treatment.

At this point I wonder if the food poisoning was intentional. Don't eat here. Bathrooms dirty too. I am calling the health department!

We loved it so much, we ate here two days in row!
I had 4 cheese frittata and added mushrooms with a side of avocado. It was amazing!
BF had corned beef hash omelette and eggs over easy.
Love the vintage diner aesthetic and the old school New York hospitality!

Dependable Dining, Remedy aptly dubbed is the perfect city diner. It's a place you can go any time of day and they will feed you warm soup and a chicken parm burrito smothered in thousand island dressing. That wasn't a suggestion as much as menu mind-bending, which for some is the fun of a diner. If you can think it, you can eat it. Highly recommend.
