The stunning Miami outpost of Marcus Samuelsson’s much-anticipated Miami location of Red Rooster has officially set up shop in Overtown. The menu features Red Rooster classics found at its Harlem location like hot honey fried chicken and Obama’s short ribs, in addition to new dishes like ceviche, grilled local fish, and nods to Miami’s Haitian and Caribbean communities with items like griot (pork shoulder) and accra (malanga fritters). With decor throughout the space giving a nod to its historic neighborhood roots, the eatery also offers performance and exhibition space for local musicians and visual artists as well as room for local community groups to meet.
