Description
TPC is a lush, high-end golf course near Red Rock Canyon that required the use of dynamite during course construction. The course, which was selected for the "Golf Digest" list of best places to play in 2005-06, was designed by Bobby Weed with Raymond Floyd as a consultant. The course used to host Senior PGA Tour's Las Vegas Classic. Located in the master-planned Summerlin community, TPC Las Vegas is all about target golf. The course has lush fairways and greens that are broken up by natural landscape, including indigenous plants, canyons and rocky areas. It has no shortage of blind shots, and features many elevation changes and quick greens. Set near Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas National offers excellent views of the canyon's rocky outcroppings. Wind can be a factor. As of February 2010, twilight greens fees were $75 from June to August and $125 the rest of the year. Greens fees for premium tee times were as high as $275.
