Description
Georgian newcomer Chito Gvrito opened its doors in the fall on Third Avenue between Union Square and Gramercy Park. The celebrated Georgian dish khachapuri adjaruli is notable here for its deeper-than-usual cheese reservoir, Eater critic Robert Sietsema writes, making it easier to mix the traditional yolk and butter in with gobs of bubbling cheese. Another must-order dish is the shkmeruli, featuring chicken simmered in a milk and garlic broth and served fragrant and tender. The restaurant has a heated outdoor dining setup, and also offers takeout and delivery.
