Description
Tortas ahogadas are a Guadalajara classic, given that the city is home to the birote style of bread which is based on the French baguette. Crispy outside and soft inside, tortas ahogadas are sandwiches full of carnitas (cuts of pork), prawns, or sometimes even panela cheese, then bathed in a spicy tomato sauce.
