Description
Ridge Trail at Santa Teresa County Park offers a moderately challenging 3.8-mile loop that takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete. The trail lacks shade and can be demanding for bikers, but the panoramic views from Coyote Peak are rewarding. The park, considered one of the best in San Jose, features a variety of clearly marked trails, though they can become muddy after rain. Benches are strategically placed at scenic spots, providing rest opportunities. April is an ideal time to visit, with milder temperatures and vibrant wildflowers, including poppies. The park is dog-friendly, requiring leashes, and suitable for children. Notably, cicadas can be heard near the radio tower during their active years.
