Hubertusbad in Lichtenberg

Description

The historic Lichtenberg public baths, which originally opened in 1928, offered a wide range of amenities including swimming pools, sauna area, massage rooms, gym, and sun terrace. However, the baths were closed in 1991 due to construction defects. After a massive renovation effort, the building now serves as the Lichtenberg ‘Anlaufstelle für Bürgerbeteiligung’ (contact point for citizen participation), facilitating communication between politics, administration, and citizens. While it's unfortunate that the baths were not restored to their former glory, the building's new purpose is a valuable resource for the community. Sources like ExBerliner have also recommended Hubertusbad in Lichtenberg.
