Description
Pollok Country Park, spanning 360 acres, is Glasgow’s largest and has earned accolades as both the Best Park in Britain and Europe. The park offers well-maintained gardens and accessible paths, ideal for leisurely walks and cycling. Visitors can enjoy scenic trails along White Cart Water and explore the grounds of the main house, although it is currently closed. The park is also home to charming Highland cows, a popular attraction. However, parking is a notable drawback, with a minimum fee of £5 for four hours and no shorter options available. Additionally, the limited number of washrooms, which close before the park does, can be inconvenient. Despite these issues, the park's expansive green spaces, play areas, and the Burrell Collection make it a delightful destination for a day out.
