First-rate dining experience barNYC. In charming, safe, clean West Village location* Attentive staffer at door jumped to help me enter w my cane. Food (vegetarian) was Heavenly - truly out of this world! Intimate indoor setting, not huge but very comfortable space. Great service too. Absolutely one of the GREATEST places one could ever dine in NYC.

Usually the food is quite good however tonight it was very spotty. The watermelon and feta salad was fairly bland and lackluster definitely a pass. The Lobster pasta dish was bright and flavorful but .. no lobster. At $31 / plate there should be some? The savior was the main, the special of the day .. Whole Branzino roasted with couscous it was very tasty and well balanced and the fish was cooked perfectly . Mixed bag tonight

I visited here for an in between meal. Not quite lunch or brunch and too early for dinner. The food is good and service was also good. Would definitely return soon for a full meal.

You can always count on a delicious meal at Extra Virgin! Not to mention that J.R., the manager, is a pleasure! Before the pandemic, we used to live in the neighborhood and were regulars. We came back tonight to find that they expanded their outdoor sitting - which by the way looks great and super cozy - and the food is still superb!!! We each had an appetizer and an entree, and a couple Aperol Spritz, and the evening was nothing other than perfect.

Edit: as the owner kindly asked me to point out better options in the neighborhood, I'd recommend the restaurant literally right next door to them. Many places on Greenwich St open as well.

Takeout for two at extra virgin will cost you at least $50 for VERY low quality, basic food. I'm all for supporting neighborhood businesses, but their staff wasn't the nicest. Like many other places they are allowing people to congregate and drink in the street while waiting for take out. This has led to way too many people on the street, to which the police have had to break up multiple times. Very few veggie options that are basic. Better options in the neighborhood.
