This is my favorite place we’ve eaten since we moved here! Friendly and inviting - I loved the atmosphere of the place. Our waiter was just perfect. Made us feel very comfortable. And the food was just amazing. I couldn’t believe every bite we took. Highly recommend cold sesame noodles and pork soup dumplings. I make a lot of broth at home and I really appreciated the quality and time that went into the dumpling broth. Great prices, too.

We will come back!

I’d like to add... stop expecting Americanized service in a Chinese restaurant. The staff is not rude, they just do their job... 😅😅😅

I miss Joes ginger so much. They have the very best soup dumplings. I’m not sure how they have so many bad reviews. I take anyone who comes to visit, and they always love it.

The food was far from tasty. The soup dumplings (no. 1 on a menu) were flavorless. The prices looked good until we saw the portion size (for example the spring rolls were thinner than a sharpie pen).

20 years ago this restaurant was recommended to me by a dear friend and a Chinese calligraphy scholar. Back then it used to be a nice place to have pork buns. Boy, have this place changed since then. It has become over priced tourist trap that sells poor quality food. The waiters are rude and not caring. So sad but everything in this world is changing and one thing is for sure I said goodbye to Joe’s Ginger forever.

If there was a zero star option, I would give this place no stars. Here’s why. The soup dumplings are sour and dry. The skin is thick and rough. In addition, the meat was incredibly rough. The ma po tofu was cooked with strange sauce that tasted like medicine. In addition, there was hardly any meat inside. The sauce was way too starchy. The rice cakes were tasteless. There was plentiful of grease in every single dish. You can see oil in each plate. After dinner, I really wanted to get rid of the nasty flavor from every dish. The service was mediocre.
