Surprisingly good, not to crazy expensive, moody and chilled on the inside. Staff here is nice but be advised I came here on a Sunday when things were quite slow. They were nice enough to even give me a nice little desert as a bday gift. 🖤

Delicious fresh sushi. Omakase is a nice treat with plenty of delightful dishes. From fatty tuna to A5 wagyu get a taste test of many flavours.

Great Omakase with fresh fish! Service was smooth and attentive while not being so intrusive. This place is my go to when I am craving for an authentic Japanese Sushi.

This restaurant has the ability to be top class with its ambiance, location and good food.  However, as a dining experience - given the price tag - there are many other places to spend your money and enjoy good sushi in NYC.  Service was a let down from the moment we entered.  On their website, reservation confirmation and even the phone call on the day of the booking, I was told they were operating under a BYOB policy.  Generally this makes for a fun evening where friends bring a bottle of wine and sometimes even helps keep the overall cost down!  When we arrived at the table we were instructed to keep our wine on the floor and refused to let us use their wine glasses.  Instead we were informed that they were offering free corkage and that was the reason for drinking out of water glasses.  At one point, a member of staff asked if we could kindly keep our bottle of sparkling water on the floor as well - of course mistaking the water for wine.  If I wanted to go out for a dinner as a bootlegger, I would have.  I just wouldn’t have done it at a place where it still costs $150+ per person (excluding alcohol).  The sushi was decent - otherwise this place would get 1 star.
